Living in the country, I developed a love of nature and all things rural, especially the history and images of days gone by, when life moved at a slower pace. Many of the paintings reflect those times; unfortunately, the way farming life has evolved over the years has made many of the old structures redundant, leaving them to the ravages of the elements.

Having been born and raised in a rural area, I draw on those childhood years in many of my paintings.
